Practical Remake Activity Evaluation
Overall, I think our Remake went well. However, this was a practise activity, and not the real thing.
Our shots came out well, and they all joined together, like planned, however, when it came to editing, we found that there were not enough shots to create a whole title sequence, including the correct order of titles. To improve this, we will go by the storyboard, and not the shot list.
We all work well as a group, which is good when we are filming as we're not arguing about who should do what, as we've planned it out before. We all have individual roles in the team, and I think this helps us be a little more organised.
The editing proved difficult but we managed to do it in the end, however, looking back over we found that part of the sequence had been moved out of shot. The music was planned beforehand, as the score for the title was easily accessible.
We could have also added in more titles within the dark gaps between the idents, the speaking part/prologue, and the main title sequence. I feel like this would have really created a sense of interest to the audience, and many encourage them to watch it.
What could have been better was if there was more even distribution between editing, filming and planning and maybe switch things up next time, so each person switches their job every 30 mins, and can further develop their skills in a particular area.

Mind Map Inspo Sound
Sound. this is a very upbeat song, and I have heard it a lot in Teen dramas. It is a happy, upbeat song which is very catchy.
These are some other ideas which are all quite catchy.

Seeing as we're at the opticians, I get free Contact Lens from work, and when opening them, I was reminded of our film and filmed the kits, and bottles.

Blogging Health Check: 1 Review
In my media blogging health check, I received a grade C (13/20) overall. I agree with this grade because it truly reflects the effort I put into my blog so far. The feedback given was not to 'binge blog', which means I have to post a certain amount of posts at a time - not all in a short period of time. Also, in future, to improve on my media grade I will use different methods of presenting my work, for example: videos, pictures and Prezi presentations.
The positive feedback I achieved was that some of my work was detailed. I'm going to keep this up by blogging in detail consistently.

Costume for teen genre: Skirt
Skirts are always worn in teen genre films by girl characters and indicate the character's attitude towards fashion; showing it's important to them. However it could also signify the character's hope and romance traits.
Costume for teen genre: Fluffy Jumper
The pink fluffy jumper indicates the character wearing it is a stereotypical teenage girl as that is often what teenage girls wear. The colour pink is the colour of love, and may foreshadow a romantic path in the plot. This costume item may be useful in our teen film genre because it would communicate to the audience that the film is going to be a teen film.
Costume for teen genre: Jean Jacket
The jeans jacket is ideal for our chosen genre- teen movie. It shows the 90's fashion era and is worn in many teen films including; Clueless, Empire Records and 10 Things I Hate About You. This costume clothing might be useful to our title sequence because it shows teenage fashion and let's the audience identify the character is a teenager.
Brief Description of Character
The character's name is Ella and she is the main character of a horror film, who murders other characters during the plot. In a title sequence her name would appear in the cast section. The character would hold an evil character trait which is identified with what she wears. She would be part of a family culture, living in a forest setting.

Blogging Health check 1 review
For my first media blogging health check I got a C grade, I think this is a decent grade and I feel the work I have done is satisfactory. To improve my grade more detail could be used in blog posts to explain ideas and thought more accurately, I could also use different types of media to portray the work I have done. When I use media for example a photo or a video I should write a summary of what the pictures or the video is showing.

Memorable Costumes from Films
Costume is a key element of mise-en-scene, and communicates traits to the audience, revealing details of characters or the plot. For example: without costume we wouldn't be able to see Cinderella's magical transformation from the rags to riches!
Characters from films that have a memorable costume and make-up include:
Characters from films that have a memorable costume and make-up include:
- The Great Gatsby 2013 Costume designer, Catherine Martin, recreates the style inspired from 1920's New York, to show the era the film was set in. Character, Daisy Buchanan, wears sparkly dresses put together with some jewellery or head piece to show her glamorous modelling culture. Her make-up is subtle throughout the film to make her look like she has natural beauty that also reflects on her character type.
- The Hunger Games 2012 This film is based on two divided groups and each group can be identified by what they wear. The downtrodden district folk wear drab clothing which is suited to the condition they live in and reflects the depression they suffered from. The character, Katniss Everdeen, is an example of a member from the district. She is dressed with practical clothing like trousers and a black t-shirt, which foreshadows her later adventurous activities. She also carries a mocking jay necklace which is symbolic for the rebellion attitudes towards the opposition called the Capitol.
- Clueless 1995 The character Cher Horowitz is a spoilt Beverley Hills teenager. You can notice this in the way she dresses, wearing denim vests, knee high socks, platform shoes and fluffy accessories. She dresses uniquely in contrast with the other characters in the film that wear grunge shirts, baggy jeans and baseball caps. Fashion used in teen high-school film signify hierarchy, showing who has power.

6 MIN Challenge Doc
This is a documentary of how we came up with our 6min challenge idea, and this is so we can generate a new idea when it comes to the actual coursework video.
This is evidence of us working to come up with our challenge idea
Evidence of 6 minute challenge
We were given the task of the 6 minute challenge where we had to pick a random wikipedia page which would be the name of our film; Like a star. We then had to pick a location and a prop from an envelope; our location was a department store, and our prop was a pair of glasses. We then used this information to create an idea for a film, our genre was Teen Drama; where the protagonist falls in love with the shop worker because he fixes her glasses it was love at new sight!
We found this challenge interesting because it allowed us to be creative and expand our imagination and our knowledge of media.

Evaluation of practical activity
Evaluation Of Practical
During our practical we was very successful because we all had a job to do and we all stuck to our job which helped us work toward the deadline , we also planned very well what we wanted to film and where we wanted to film it so when it got to going out and filming we wasn't trying to find a location because we already had it organised . During filming our final cut we kept watching the original opening sequence so that we could try and get it as similar as possible. I think what went well was how we all worked together and helped as a group , also all giving our ideas on ideas that would work and also what wouldn't work.

Task 3 : What film genres do audiences prefer ?
What film genres do audiences prefer?
1) From my research I found that the most popular three genres are Comedy , Horror and Romance.
2) This is because they said they like to be entertained.
3) From my research I found that younger people prefer fun, interesting films for example action and horror where as the older target audience prefer romance and comedy.
4) If i was to make a film my genre would me Romance Comedy , this is because it appeals to everyone because females like the romance side of it where as males like the comedy, i think my target audience will be from 16-25.
Task 1: Target audience
Target Audience
What is target audience?
Target audience is a particular group at which a product such as a film is aimed at.
What is an audience ?
The assembled spectators or listeners at a public event such as a play, film, concert or meeting.
How do we define target audiences?
There are four questions that can be asked when finding your target audience. the fist one is...
1) What are the demographics of your target audience ?
2) Where does your target audience hang out?
3) What films do they enjoy most?
4) Do you watch films often ?
Why is it useful for a film to have a target audience?
Audience is very important throughout film because without having a target audience the public will not know who the film is aimed at and if it is suitable or not for them to go and watch it.
Which audience do you think different genres appeal to ?
I think that boys/young men tend to watch films that have lots of action and violence , this is because they love to be excited and have their adrenalin pumping, I would also say that comedy is mainly aimed at males as well because they have a good sense of humour and like to be entertained. Where as girls are more into serious films like romance because they are more realist and females like to be able to feel a part of the film/ situation.
I also think that age affects genres as well for example the genre animation is aimed at mainly children where as horror is aimed at young adults/ adults.
