Macro Analysis

Macro analysis is looking at the film from a bigger picture, it is the themes and the storyline of the film. The film sequence that I watched and analysed was The Stepfather the key plot was that the main character was a serial killer who kills families hence the name "The Stepfather" , he changes identity to do it to another family without ever being caught. In the opening sequence the stepfather is introduced who is the main character, also the family are showed laid across the living dead. The theme of this is thriller/horror.
