Analysing 2 film sequences
I have chosen the film opening of Lolita which was made in 1962 because I liked the way it only showed one thing which didn't give any of the film away , this is good because people will be intrigued and would want to find out more. The opening was of someone painting someone's toe nails , however the someone looked like they had little feet which could be a hint that it is a child. The whole sequence was focused on the foot and it was black and white. it had classical music which set the tone of happiness. There was many credits through the sequence.http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/lolita/
The next film sequence I analysed was Honey, I Shrunk the kids which was made in 1989 and is completely different from Lolita. It is animated and has a lot going on, it has fast music which sets the tempo because it is a lively fun action packed film. It has lots of credits which go along with the action , so does the music so it all fits into one which works successfully because it creates the theme of the film which is fun. http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/honey-i-shrunk-the-kids/
