Analysis of 3 different title sequences

22 jump street parodies the fact that there could be numerous sequels to the movie; the title sequence is a series of imitated movie sequels. The credits are incorporated into the title sequence to be part of the moving image using animation. The use of the upbeat music allows the title sequence to move swiftly and the different clips to proceed in time with the music. Romeo and Juliet starts with a news report gradually getting closer. Then it transitions between scenes of the news report and images of a city and a violent outburst. The dramatic, intense music builds suspense, whilst the written and spoken narration builds the audience up for what is to come. Credits of actors and directors are not used in this title sequence but instead characters in the film appear on screen as a screenshot of the character also appears. Donnie Brasco begins with muffled music slowly getting louder, then credits appear. It cuts to scenes of a city and a close up of a mans face. Tranquil music sets a feeling of anticipation. There is a series of photographs and short clips in black and white.
