The purposes of 'Title Sequences': A Summary.

Although title sequences vary, all title sequences must include certain things.
They usually start with idents which are the company which produced and distributed the film, i.e. Marvel, Studio Ghibli, 20th Century Fox, Regency, etc...
A good title sequence may have music that sets the tone, or atmosphere of the film. The sequence must have credits (the actors), and the title. The title may foreshadow what will happen in the film. The sequence will introduce the main character (protagonist), location, and you should be able to tell what genre the film is, i.e. horror, fantasy, animation, etc...
